Kandla Port, under the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) in Gujarat, India, is set to begin green hydrogen production by the end of August 2025. This initiative is part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, aiming to develop an ecosystem for green hydrogen, green ammonia, and methanol. The port is collaborating with industry leaders like L&T and NTPC to establish a 1-megawatt demonstration plant and introduce hydrogen-powered buses to replace diesel ones.
