Japan’s Green Investment Promotion Organization awarded 75.3 MW of utility-scale solar capacity in its 26th auction, far below the expected 163 MW. Twenty-seven projects from 300 kW to 21.7 MW were selected. Bids ranged from JPY 4.97/kWh—the lowest, submitted for two small projects—to a ceiling-matching JPY 8.
