The Government of India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission, with a ₹19,744 crore outlay, aims to make India a global hub for green hydrogen production, usage, and export. By November 2025, 18 companies were awarded 8,62,000 tonnes/year hydrogen production, 15 companies received 3,000 MW/year electrolyser manufacturing capacity, and two companies were allocated 20,000 tonnes/year for refineries.
