Japanese trading firm Itochu has acquired an undisclosed stake in Aegis Vopak Terminals' 36,000-tonne ammonia storage terminal at Port Pipavav in western India, described as India's first independent ammonia storage terminal. Completed in August, the strategic facility includes pipelines and loading infrastructure with access to Arabian Sea shipping routes toward the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and Australia.
