Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has halted plans to build EVs at Tata Motors' upcoming $1 billion factory in Tamil Nadu, India due to pricing and quality concerns with local components. Slowing EV demand also influenced the decision. This move may delay Tata’s premium Avinya EVs. The plant, set for full capacity in 5-7 years, will still produce other vehicles.
