Italy’s energy regulator ARERA has backed a proposal by grid operator Terna to auction 16 GWh of energy storage capacity for 2029 under the MACSE scheme. The regulator advised a cautious approach to auction volumes, considering evolving market dynamics and existing capacity procurements.
