The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has formed a Joint Venture with SJVN Ltd., GMR Energy Ltd., and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for the 900 MW Upper Karnali Hydro-electric Project in Nepal. The project, under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer model, aims to enhance regional energy security and promote sustainable energy development.
