India’s Green Hydrogen Ambitions Boosted by Hygenco Funding

Gurugram-based Hygenco Green Energies plans to raise $125 million by selling 49% stake to global investors, including IFC, Siemens, and Fullerton. Founded in 2020, the company aims to deploy $2.5 billion over three years to build 10 GW green hydrogen capacity by 2030. With competition from 61 global players, Hygenco benefits from rising investor interest amid India’s clean fuel push, targeting 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen production and boosting energy security and exports.
