India’s wind energy sector is entering a strong growth phase driven by rising manufacturing capacity, record installations, and supportive policy push, said Union Minister Pralhad Joshi. Speaking at the Global Wind Day Conference 2026, he highlighted India’s 6 GW-plus wind additions in FY 2025-26 and expansion of turbine manufacturing capacity to 24 GW.
