India is set to introduce incentives for establishing domestic lithium and nickel processing units to reduce reliance on imports and strengthen its critical minerals supply chain. The proposed scheme, nearing approval, includes around ₹2,000 crore in production-linked incentives (PLI) and import duty waivers on capital goods.
