During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Bhutan, India and Bhutan deepened their energy cooperation. Modi inaugurated the 1,020-megawatt Punatsangchhu-II hydroelectric project, boosting Bhutan’s hydropower capacity by nearly 40%, and announced a ₹40 billion ($455 million) line of credit for energy initiatives.
