India’s recent Energy Storage auctions have achieved record-low prices, with standalone Battery Storage bids at ₹2.8 lakh/MW/month and Solar-plus-storage bids between ₹3.1–₹3.5/kWh, says the India Energy and Climate Center. Falling battery costs and improved cycle life have reduced the Levelized Cost of Storage, enabling Solar-plus-storage systems to supply 24/7 clean power at under ₹6/kWh with over 95% availability.
