IIT Kanpur will establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Green Hydrogen under the Uttar Pradesh Green Hydrogen Policy 2024. Approved by the Uttar Pradesh government and UPNEDA, the centre will focus on hydrogen generation, storage, utilisation, and system integration. Named ECOGEN, the initiative aims to reduce green hydrogen production costs, promote innovation across the value chain, and support sustainable energy solutions.
