Researchers at IIT Gandhinagar have developed an adaptive EV battery charging method to reduce lithium plating and slow battery degradation. The five-step Multi-Step Constant Current (MSCC) strategy dynamically adjusts charging based on battery age, temperature, and health conditions. It uses real-time monitoring and impedance analysis to optimize current levels and prevent damage during fast charging.
