Iberdrola agreed to sell its Mexican businesses for $4.2 billion, including 15 power plants totaling 2.6 GW capacity and development projects. The assets feature 1,368 MW combined cycle and cogeneration, plus 1,232 MW wind and solar. Proceeds will fund Iberdrola’s €55 billion investment in grid infrastructure across the US, UK, Brazil, and Spain, nearly doubling its regulated asset base.
