Hyundai has commenced electric SUV production at its $7.6 billion Georgia plant, less than two years after breaking ground. The first commercial model, the 2025 Ioniq 5, is set to reach U.S. dealerships by year-end. With a goal of producing 300,000 EVs annually, the facility will employ 8,500 workers when fully operational, marking a significant economic development for the state.
