India is facing challenges in its electric vehicle goals as the nation’s interest is shifting towards hybrid technologies rather than pure electric vehicles. The EV30@30 initiative by the government which aimed at securing 30% of new car sales as EV 2030 is blurring in its trajectory. This fashion has also been witnessed in the foreign markets with hybrid vehicles leading the EVs in sales.
