GUVNL has awarded 1,665 MW from its 2000 MW/4000 MWh standalone BESS tender to nine firms at tariffs between ₹1.85–1.89 lakh/MW/month. Major winners include Sundrops Energia and Ultimate Flexipack with 445–450 MW each, and Engie Energy with 280 MW. The tender, issued under the new VGF scheme offering up to ₹18 lakh/MWh, drew aggressive bids.
