Gujarat has launched 870 MW Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across five locations, including Charal, Modhera, and Lakhpat, to stabilise its renewable energy grid. As India's first solar village, Modhera integrated the country's first BESS with a solar plant. To expand infrastructure, Gujarat registered 13 additional projects across Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Banaskantha, Patan, and Kutch.
