The Gujarat Government has Reduced Road Tax on Electric Vehicles (EVs) from 6% to 1% until March 31, 2026, saving buyers between ₹5,000–₹77,500, depending on the vehicle. This benefit excludes hybrid cars. EV buyers must register on the Vahan portal to claim the discount. Tax on maxi passenger vehicles has been uniformly revised to 6%.
