Gujarat has approved the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Gujarat Integrated Renewable Energy Policy-2025 (GIREP-2025) to accelerate renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The framework simplifies project registration, approvals, grid connectivity and commissioning for solar, wind, hybrid, floating solar and standalone BESS projects.
