Researchers at MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, have developed a carbon-negative process that produces bioCNG and green hydrogen from mixed agricultural waste. Using a plant-derived catalyst, the process achieves 12% biomass-to-gas efficiency—higher than traditional methods—and avoids carbon emissions.
