Great Britain’s grid operator NESO procured 1.22 GW of de-rated battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity in its latest T‑4 capacity market auction for delivery year 2029/30, mostly from new-build projects. The auction cleared 40.1 GW of total capacity at GBP 27.10/kW/year, the lowest T‑4 clearing price since 2022.
