The government has proposed extending the prescribed age limit for battery-operated, hydrogen and natural gas-powered vehicles by five years under draft amendments to the Central Motor Vehicles Rules. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has invited stakeholder comments within 30 days, with changes effective only after final notification.
