Germany has postponed 2026 offshore wind auctions for 2.5 GW North Sea capacity to 2027, following failed tenders. The Cabinet suspended all 2026 auctions to redesign them with bilateral contracts for difference, reducing investment risks. Sites N‑10.1 and N‑10.2, totaling 182 km², were originally slated for 2030–2031 operation.
