The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) has approved a tariff of ₹2.60/kWh for 250 MW of Solar Projects and an additional 250 MW under the Greenshoe Option. Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) will sign 25-year PPAs with Welspun (50 MW), Avaada (100 MW), and SAEL (100 MW). The tariff, discovered through an e-auction, was deemed competitive and aligns with GUVNL’s goals of meeting renewable targets and boosting clean energy development in Gujarat.
