Georgia Power is building 765 MW of new Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Georgia, with projects in Bibb, Lowndes, Floyd, and Cherokee counties. These systems, approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission, enhance grid reliability by storing excess energy for use during high demand.
