CHN Energy (CEIC) has completed Grid Connection for its 1 GW Dachaidan Wind-Solar-storage project in Qinghai, China, comprising 700 MW Solar and 300 MW Wind capacity. It will produce 2.1 TWh/year, saving 700 kt of coal and cutting 1.93 MtCO₂ annually. In March 2025, China’s Wind and Solar power capacity (1,482 GW) surpassed thermal (1,451 GW).
