Forvia Hella and Tau Motors have partnered to develop a transformer-less onboard charger (viOBC) for electric vehicles, offering up to 98% efficiency, 7kW/litre power density, and a 33% weight reduction. The viOBC enables bidirectional charging and vehicle-to-grid integration, improving energy management and reducing CO₂ emissions.
