Tamil Nadu launched 120 low-floor electric buses at Chennai’s Vyasarpadi depot, advancing sustainable urban transport. The Rs 207.90 crore project, backed by the World Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, includes a renovated Rs 47.5 crore depot. Each bus features 39 seats, safety measures, CCTV, and a 200 km battery range, operating on eleven routes.
