Egyptalum, a subsidiary of Egypt's Metallurgical Industries Holding Company, has partnered with Norway’s Scatec to build a $650 million, 1,000 MWh solar power plant in Nagaa Hammadi. The project, with 200 MW battery storage, will be developed in two 500 MWh phases over 24 months. Scatec will finance, construct, and operate the facility under a PPA.
