Exide Industries has invested ₹100 crore in its subsidiary Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) to support its greenfield lithium-ion cell manufacturing plant in Bengaluru. The investment, made through rights issue at ₹40 per share, keeps Exide’s ownership at 100%. EESL, founded in 2022, makes lithium-ion cells for EVs and stationary uses.
