EDF power solutions has commissioned the 140 MW Umsobomvu Wind Farm in South Africa, boosting its 2026 renewable pipeline. The project is part of the 520 MW Koruson 2 cluster and follows recent solar and wind additions. South Africa’s renewable expansion is accelerating through PPPs, supported by policy initiatives and rising private investment, with a target of 40% renewable energy in the power mix by 2030.
