Chinese silicon producer GCL Technology is diversifying beyond PV polysilicon into battery materials with LFP cathodes and silicon-carbon anodes. First phase of its 200,000-tonne-per-year LFP project in Leshan, Sichuan began production June 2026, ramping to full capacity by October-end, with orders from major customers covering planned output.
