China Singapore Researchers Develop Cheaper Solar Hydrogen Method

Researchers in China and Singapore developed a solar- and biomass-based method to produce cheaper green hydrogen. The technique converts sugars from biomass, like agricultural waste, into hydrogen and formate simultaneously. Using a copper-doped cobalt catalyst in a membrane-free, sunlight-powered reactor, the method avoids energy-intensive oxygen evolution reactions, boosting efficiency.
