Construction has started on a ¥4.2 billion ($584 million) green hydrogen and e-methanol project in Shuangyashan, Heilongjiang, China. The facility aims to produce 119,000 tonnes of e-methanol annually using green hydrogen generated from wind power and biomass gasification. Carbon dioxide for methanol synthesis will also be sourced from biomass.
