Ceres Power has begun hydrogen production at its megawatt-scale solid oxide electrolyser cell (SOEC) demonstrator system in Bangalore, India, in collaboration with Shell. The facility has the potential to produce 600 kg of hydrogen per day and operates at an efficiency of 37 kWh/kg H2, which is expected to reduce operational costs.
