A Chinese consortium, led by CATL, will invest $1.4 billion to build lithium extraction plants in Bolivia. The consortium plans to construct two facilities with a combined annual production capacity of approximately 200,000 tons of lithium chemicals. CATL, the world's largest battery producer, supplies companies like Tesla and Ford.
