CATL, the world’s largest battery manufacturer, has partnered with Octopus Energy to deploy more than 30 battery-swapping stations for electric trucks across Europe by 2035. The network could support over 300,000 electric lorries and attract more than £30 billion in private investment. Battery swapping enables trucks to replace depleted batteries in about five minutes, reducing downtime and lowering operating costs compared to diesel vehicles.
