8 projects of BESS are under the BESIPPP Bid Window 2 with total capacity of 615 MW. The investment budget is around Rs 12.8 billion to strengthen the grid stability in the North West, Gauteng & free state provinces. Each of the project contains 77MW capacity. These projects emphasize local participation, with 41% black shareholding and a commitment to 1,570 job opportunities during operations.
