Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) saw a 4% increase in electricity traded, totaling 9,642 million units (MU) in October 2024. Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) surged by 105%. Energy consumption rose by 1%, while market prices in Day-Ahead and Real-Time markets dropped by 39% and 38%, respectively. IEX's Green Market volume grew 364%, and REC trading reached 4.
