REC Ltd has sanctioned ₹7,500 crore to fund a 1.04 GW hybrid renewable project in Kurnool by Evren, a Brookfield–Axis Energy platform. This is REC’s largest-ever private sector sanction, backing a wind-solar FDRE model combining 640 MW wind, 400 MW solar and battery storage. The ₹9,910 crore project aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy, signalling strong green investment interest and supporting Evren’s larger 3 GW state pipeline under an 11 GW national plan.
