Austria has launched the Industrial Hydrogen Valley (HI2-Valley) project to decarbonize its industrial sector and promote clean energy. The project aims to produce 10,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2028, with support from the European Union. Initially focusing on industrial zones in Styria, Upper Austria, and Carinthia, the project has received an initial EU grant of €20 million, with total investments expected to reach €578 million by 2030.
