Arctech, a Chinese PV tracker provider, has secured a 1.5GW solar tracker supply agreement with PowerChina for the Al Ajban project in the UAE. The project, awarded to EDF Renewables and KOWEPO, is owned by Masdar (60%), EDF (20%), and KOWEPO (20%). This deal follows Arctech's 2.3GW agreement in Saudi Arabia and includes plans for a 15GW solar tracker plant in Saudi Arabia.
