Acen Australia plans a 440MW/1,760MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Queensland’s Central Highlands. The Lilyvale BESS will cover 21.15 hectares of a 151.52-hectare grazing property and include 512 lithium iron phosphate battery containers, inverters, and power stations. It will connect directly to the nearby Lilyvale Substation, linking to Australia’s National Electricity Market without major new transmission infrastructure.
