The Supreme Court on Thursday suggested the government revisit the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020 to boost electric vehicle adoption, proposing a pilot project in major metropolitan cities. Hearing a PIL filed in 2019 by public interest groups, the court noted citizens’ rights to health and a clean environment are impacted by fossil fuel emissions.
