Akaysha Energy has commenced construction of its $200 million Brendale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Queensland. The project will deliver 205 MW / 410 MWh of capacity to the National Electricity Market and begin commercial operation in 2026. Located on a 3.7-acre site near the South Pine substation, it features Tesla Megapack technology and will be built by CPP.
