Panasonic has announced a JPY 350 billion ($2 billion) investment to expand battery manufacturing and capitalize on rising energy storage demand from AI-driven data centers. The company plans to add a dedicated production line in Kansas, USA, expand battery module manufacturing in Mexico, and triple battery cell production in Japan by FY2029.
