Varanasi Cluster: No Fee for 27 L Smart Meter Installation

Under the Varanasi smart metering project, 27.3 lakh consumers in 7 districts will have smart meters, transformers, and feeders installed. No installation fees from DISCOMs. GMR Kashi Smart Meters Limited presented to Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma. Surveys completed: 5,15,122 consumers, 29,366 transformers, 1,477 feeders. Door-to-door surveys ongoing.
