News Insights

The partnership between THDCL and Rajasthan government aims to strengthen renewable energy infrastructure in the state and increase its RE capacity. With continuous increase in the penetration of RE in the grid, it increases the variability in the supply of power which could result in supply demand gap and also result in power failure. Development of PSP will help support grid stability reducing intermittent nature of RE and providing RTC power supply. The PSP being developed will ensure optimal use of water resource and increase energy efficiency. The PSP being developed will contribute to country’s increase in RE and create opportunity for DISCOMs to procure RE at low cost during demand. With government’s focus on RTC supply of RE, more PSP projects are expected to be developed with increase in investment in near future.
